War of the Crystals

The black hand has arrived,
Shadow the earth with its darkness,
The rise of an army of black and grey,
They storm the skies with thunder and flash.

Up in the sky, they feed on the polluted air,
A sunny day, turned to gloom and despair,
There is heat and thirst everywhere,
Oh bring down the judgement upon us, we pray.

And in desperation the skies tear apart,
The drums roll and the fire bursts start,
We on the ground know not,
If they will set us free or consume our hearts.

We fall in love or loose our hearts trying,
The wait within us, neither gives us hope nor redemption.
We are no match to the fury up above,
The War is here, whether you stand for hate or love.

The Clouds open, the arrows are flung,
The millions down below scatter and run,
At warp speed, they crash and land,
They transform, a spectacle we later understand.

We wished it would be our hope,
We hoped it would cleanse our inequities,
Our inequity brought us our doomsday,
The day the War of the Crystals began.

The onslaught, filled our empty lands,
Death & destruction for all the tiny minds,
They wash away or become food for many,
While we lock ourselves safely, until the rage left any.
